The ACNC loves hearing from you via Twitter, Facebook, and on LinkedIn. We're online weekdays 8.00 am to 6.00 pm AEST, and we do our best to respond to your tweets and posts within 24 hours.

We’ve set up a group called Aussie Charities and NFPs on Linked In. This is an open group where people with an interest in the sector can discuss relevant issues and make connections. The group is not a company page – we established it as a forum for you, hosted by us. Although many of our people are members of this group, the views expressed in this group do not necessarily represent the views of the ACNC.

We use Twitter to share information with the charity and not-for-profit sector and the broader public. We also try to live-tweet speeches and events that we attend and that we think you may find interesting.

When you can expect to hear back from us

We aim to answer anything you post within 24 hours, but bear with us if you've asked a tricky question, because we may need to check with more than one department to ensure you get the right answer. And that can take a little longer.

Social media rules

We enjoy interacting with the public and our colleagues in the sector through our social media channels.

When you post to our social media channels, keep in mind:

  • if you're waiting on a response from us, we aim to get back to you within 24 hours though sometimes this might take longer depending on your enquiry
  • we only monitor these accounts on weekdays, during business hours - and not on public holidays
  • we will delete posts that may be considered offensive, irrelevant or inappropriate.
