Summary of activities

Residency Projects undertook a period of strategic planning, fundraising and advocacy developing the organisation's permanent new residency centre, being delivered in partnership with the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural heritage Aboriginal Corporation: the Garambi Baan/Laughing Waters Residency Centre. During this time Residency Projects secured a planning scheme amendment, successfully arguing the site is of State significance. Following this, Parks Victoria's Board approved a ten year lease to enable the new Garambi Baan/Laughing Waters Residency Centre to proceed. This new centre provides critical space for artists and cultural organisations, utilising disused state assets of heritage importance, in peri-urban Melbourne.
