Summary of activities

We continued to run screening clinics in Dili. Through partnerships with participating hospitals, we arranged transport and heart procedures in Australia for patients. We also progressed plans for our first in-country surgical trip and the publication of our RHD prevalence study conducted in 2016. We appointed 3 new board members and matured our approach to fundraising and future priorities. For further information refer to the annual reports page on our website: easttimorheartsfund.org.au
