Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
The 2017 financial year saw the recruitment and training of more than 50 volunteer mentors/role models in preparation for the launch of our online mentoring platform for young LGBT people. Considerable effort was committed to the design of the platform and fundraising for its build. StartOut enters FY18 in a position to be able to launch in the 2017 calendar year and begin delivering its main mentoring service to vulnerable young people of diverse sexuality and gender.
