Collaborating with high schools and universities in the Philippines to identify exceptional students in financial need and providing funding for their high school contributions, undergraduate tuition fees and medical school tuition fees.
Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
We contacted accredited high schools and universities in the Philippines asking if they had the interest and resources to identify exceptional students in financial need and establish scholarships. There were face-to-face meetings with the school principals, deans and teachers. Memorandums of understanding (MOU) were signed with two institutions for three types of scholarships: high school contributes, undergraduate tuition fees, and medical school tuition fees. Students were selected by a selection committee organised by the schools as per the selection criteria specified in the MOUs and acknowledged at award ceremonies. Funding was sent directly to the schools to pay for the students' fees. See www.moorefoundation.org.au/projects.
