Description of charity’s activities and outcomes:
1. We organised monthly workshops for the general public, where guest speakers presented on topics related to the environment, sustainability, or healthy living (11 events, approx 30 people each time). 2. We organised many events where the community was invited to participate in tree planting, weed clearing, plant identification, clean up events (14 events, 430+ people).3. We funded volunteers to attend conferences and workshops to learn more about the environment and share their learnings with others.4. On a weekly basis, we offer opportunites for people to volunteer in our community nursery, community gardens or in the field, to learn more about plants and looking after the environment (approx 30 people weekly).5. We host volunteers from universities and employment agencies, to assist them in learning new skills that can be used now and in the future (approx 50 people per year).6. Our 15 volunteer bushcare groups looked after various areas of Council bushland, with approximately 200 volunteers participating each month.7. We take tours of students and international visitors to explain the work we do and the importance of looking after the environment (approx 4 schools & 5 tours, approx 470 people).
