Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
McCall Gardens Community Ltd has provided support services to people with a disability for over 50 years. In 2014 - 2015 our range of services included:Accommodation Support Services - 24 hours direct support provided 365 days per annum. Full range of support services for 50 clients is supplied from health care support, assistance with personal care, activities of daily living support, social & recreational activities.Flexible respite services supporting people with a disability and their families in our community to engage in their own community and for each to take a well earned break.Community participation programs for younger people (school leavers) with a disability with direct learning and skills extension programsSupported Living Fund - individual support to people with a disability living in their own homesDay Programs - tailored education and activity programs with skills learning for people with an intellectual disability.Health Care Coordination - support to access comprehensive health care assessment and specialist services.Planning for our community living project has been a major focus this year and an exciting development in partnership with NSW Ageing & Disability colleagues. We have already funded the construction of a second group home in a local suburb - and have committed, in partnership with DOHA, to develop six additional sites over the next 12 months.
