Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
In 2013/14, Anglican Overseas Aid continued to implement its mandate as a professional international development agency, working to overcome poverty and injustice and respond to disasters and emergencies. Projects were carried out in 12 countries focusing on improving health outcomes. For example, supporting those affected by HIV, empowering women, addressing issues of family violence, encouraging sustainable solutions. Anglican Overseas Aid also supported a number of emergency appeals including Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines; conflict in South Sudan and the crisis in Syria where we ensured relief needs were met.
