Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
Increased national recognition of national landscape scale restoration projects.Convened an initial meeting of the six main connectivity conservation programs in Australia. The Australian Connectivity Council is ongoing.Communicated about Gondwana Link and biodiversity values through website, meetings, presentations, workshops, book chapters, media, visits and field trips. Worked with those with community and scientific knowledge to increase our understanding of the Link.Facilitated conservation planning in majority of habitat gaps across the Link. Undertaken a spatial prioritisation in one habitat gap to determine where work is of highest priority.Liaised with funders (government, foundations, philanthropists) to gain funds for on ground works.Developed draft restoration standards for use by everyone undertaking replanting.Ongoing support for Eugene Eades'work at Nowanup for connecting the Noognar people to country, cultural exchange, youth diversion and more.Support Ngadju people to undertake project work associated with traditional fire management and to find their people's water trees.Support groups with spatial data, imagery and other materials and equipment (such as remote camera) to accelerate work across the Link.
