Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
During 2012-13, the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) continued its work of research, representation and community education on refugee issues: coordinating national networks and consultation processes on different aspects of national and international refugee policy; producing briefings, research reports and submissions on key issues; giving presentations to a wide range of groups; and coordinating Australias celebration of Refugee Week. RCOA represented the views of its member organisations and refugee communities in a wide variety of forums with government agencies and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and worked closely with international networks of non-government organisations.
