Description of charity's activities and outcomes
Fragile X Association of Australia (FXAA) is a national member-based charitable organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of those affected by Fragile X syndrome and other Fragile X-associated Disorders. We have been serving the Fragile X community for almost 30 years by offering support, service, knowledge, and connections. We deliver provide specialised information, a Help Line 5 days per week, counselling and family support, referrals, educational workshops and seminars, and we facilitate access to assessment clinics. We work to increase awareness of Fragile X-associated disorders in the medical community, to promote early diagnosis of Fragile X, and early interventions and treatments, to secure the best outcomes. We have a comprehensive website, and we leverage social media to provide information, peer support, and advocacy.
