Description of the charities international activities
Samma Group Community Foundation partners with the New Life School in Cambodia to assist financially and from a consultancy perspective for the build of a new school in Phomn Penh.
The foundation also partners with world outreach and an individual based in Elgawly, Cairo for continued support to the village in which a medical center and pre school were established by those involved in the foundation previously. Continued support is provided for teachers wages for the preschool and other requirements to ensure good education can be provided to the disadvantages students. Food Aid was also required for the village in 2020 due to devastating impacts from Covid.
Description of the charities activities and outcomes
We provided both project and design advice in the planning stages for the New Life School in Cambodia - followed by direct funding, then continued development support utilising our pool of volunteer experts from Samma Property Group. The School will provide improved education for 550 disadvantaged students in Phomn Penh Cambodia.
We also partnered with a number of organizations to achieve our aims - volunteering at 'Cooking for a cause' through Oz Harvest, provided food bags for a village struggling with Covid in Cairo and a assisted with a food drive in Melbourne.
Continuing to utilise partnerships and the pool of volunteers in our community to improve families lives both locally and international.
