Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
By undertaking assistance to the members of CCA via advocacy, research projects, professional development for members staff and seeking out business opportunities for members, we were able to assist not-for-profit community education providers remain sustainable. We also enabled members through our work with them, to help as many disadvantaged youth and adults gain access to learning in a safe and welcoming environment and helped ensure that vulnerable individuals could rebuild their self esteem and confidence through education in a community local provider. We continued our advocacy work with state and commonwealth agencies and politicians to ensure they developed a keen understanding of the need for our industry association to be able to work to assist our members and their stakeholders to ensure that all Australians could access learning, including vocational education and training, but also social inclusion and community offerings in a local environment.
