Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
MCMC organised 51 community events including weed management and monitoring, harvesting of seed, planting and cultural activities. Over 1500 hours was contributed to restoring, monitoring or learning about the Merri Creek environs by 505 community, student and corporate volunteers. 195 people attended planting events, 288 people attended weeding activities and 69 people attended ecological monitoring events. Staff groups from four organisations volunteered 441 hours of restoration work.
