Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
Project Didi Australia provided, through Asha Nepal www.asha-nepal.org, training in personal development, English and Maths and skills training in photography and jewellery-making to women and girls affected by abuse, in particular from sex trafficking, and others at risk. Courses were run by skilled Australian volunteers and two Australian school groups who delivered tailored workshops. We arranged opportunities for disadvantaged young women to interact with other young people and share a range of social activities. We provided school supplies and equipment including laptops, and university fees for one student to study nursing. We also provided emergency earthquake relief funds and goods to Nepal.
