Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
At Open Minds, the companys charitable purposes require directors and management to focus on the individual needs of each person we support. In 2015 Open Minds reviewed its strategy with a vision to become a national leader in shaping and delivering contemporary mental health and disability services. The Board and management identified 4 key goals to enable Open Minds to achieve its charitable purposes:Clients come first;We make the future better;We are here for the long run; andPeople drive our business.In 2015, Open Minds formalised its Clinical Governance Framework (CGF). The CGF aims to embed a system by which the company and staff are accountable for continuously improving the quality of Open Minds services. The CGF incorporates our Recovery Enhancement Framework and our Participation and Engagement Framework which have the following goals:*Involve more clients, families & carers on how we deliver our services and what we can do better;*Ensure that clients, families & carers have the necessary tools and resources to make informed decisions on services;*Create more opportunities for clients, families & carers to connect to their community through Open Minds;*Increase client involvement in leadership opportunities & decision making processes at Open Minds;*Provide more information & support skills development to enable clients, families & carers to self advocate & self manage their services; and*Provide formal opportunities to enhan
