Description of charity's activities and outcomes
The Australia Day Council of South Australia (ADCSA) is an independent, non-profit, membership-based association. Our vision is to inspire national pride and spirit to enrich the life of all Australians. ADCSA works with and for the community to unite the people of South Australia, to celebrate excellence in our communities and to discuss our national identity. The Australia Day Council of South Australia has three key focus areas: • Our First Nations Peoples • Our migrant and refugee story • Our ancestral connection to our development as a nation.

ADCSA, at its core, is about promoting the meaning of Australia Day and deepening community spirit. We work to encourage all South Australians to reflect and discuss what it means to be an Australian. We also promote Active Citizenship through our work across the community in celebrating our diversity, inspiring communities and actively contributing to building an inclusive Australia.

We also recognise the outstanding contributions and service of South Australians to the community through the Australian of the Year Awards and Citizen of the Year Awards.
