Description of charity’s activities and outcomes:
Funding received from Dept of Communities (& tenant rents) was used to provide Support Housing for homeless families; and departmental funding was used to run Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre. Activities held at the Centre include individualised outreach services (such as personal counselling, tax help, drug counselling, etc.) and activity groups (such as cooking, music, diabetes support, 12 step groups, CWA, fitness, continuing education for seniors, etc.) - many of which pay hall hire fees.
