Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
We respond to applications from prospective beneficiaries, and undertake background checks as to authenticity and validity. When a project is deemed by the committee to be suitable and falls within our constitution, we liase with the parties, undertake fundraising activities and send the funds to Nepal. In the 2013 year our main beneficiary was the RIDS Nepal project, which is working to deliver clean water and cooking stoves, pit latrines and solar power to 2 outlying villages in the Humla area. We continued to support the BIR Hospital burn Unit with funds for drugs and dressings for pauper patients. We provided fund for a water pump for a project run by the Nepal Jesuit Society and responded with a donation to HELP Nepal's international drive.
