(ii) provide paid medical services to visitors, expatriate residents and organisations operating in Timor-Leste, but only if the provision of medical services to those people and organizations supports the provision of medical services to the people of Timor-Leste; (iii) contribute to the capacity and capability of the health care system in Timor-Leste and to model first world care; (iv) work closely with the Government of Timor-Leste to ensure that the Services are complementary to other health care services in that country; (v) remain aut

Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
Medical and Administrative staff continued to work long hours 7 days a week to make a huge contribution to improving the health of the Timorese people.We have continued to improve the facilities and are getting closer to the next round of improvements. The Medical Advisory Committee continues to develop and improve all aspects of our medical work and of our training of staff.Training, supervising, supporting and capacity building of the village based community health workers is steadily growing and improving.Village health promotion through education undertaken at Mobile Clinics is a rapidly expanding activity.The Hospital Management Committee continues to deliver a better staff and patient environment and a much better supply of essential medical consumablesThe Finance Risk Audit and Governance Committee are restructuring the organisation in Australia and Timor Leste to provide the optimal structure for goodGovernance and cooperative work over many years to come.The Fundraising and Communications Committee is getting structure around our fund raising efforts and have established our new web site. Steadily increasing our contribution to the capacity and capability of the Timor-Leste Health system.Continue to liaise closely with the Government of Timor-Leste and with other NGOs to optimise the benefits of cooperation and coordination
