Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
The biggest venture Team Rubicon Australia engaged in in 2017 was Operation Dunlop, a disaster relief operation in the cyclone-affected town of Proserpine, QLD, in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Debbie. Every effort was made to support the state and local response in getting the town back on their feet through community engagement in addition to volunteers assisting in clearing trees and debris. This furthered Team Rubicon's mission of repurposing the skills of military veterans to create rapidly deployable teams in disaster relief. In deploying to Proserpine, Team Rubicon's 'greyshirts' helped the local community and did their bit in changing the narrative surrounding the Australian veteran.
