Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
In our fourth year as a registered charity, Geomancia concentrated on building community capacity across rural, regional and remote NSW. Geomancia continued to work with the Murrin Bridge Local Aboriginal Land Council to deliver a project under the NSW Environmental Trust's Protecting Our Places program (2017/PP/0021). This project is focussed on "Managing Biodiversity on Barooga Karrai", a large property owned and managed by the Land Council that is located about 50 km northwest of Condobolin in Central NSW. Geomancia also began work on a "A strategy to grow Indigenous heritage tourism in central NSW" under a Commonwealth Round 3 Building Better Regions Fund grant (BBRF73931). Geomancia supported regional entrepreneurship through a review of business software and the development and dissemination of an educational resource kit specifically designed for business leaders and educators. This work, facilitated by a Commonwealth Round 2 Building Better Regions Fund grant (BBRF65316), focussed on "Creating Future-ready Businesses in Central Western NSW" by building knowledge of the latest generation of business productivity tools across multiple industry sectors.
