Description of charity's activities and outcomes
In 2019 our not for profit research service assisted in sercuring over $620 million in investment into regional Australian development projects. These projects include an energy from waste plant, water infrastructure, labour capabilities, facilitation for schools and WRI's 2019 Tourism Model.
In 2019 we completed 27 research projects for 20 individual organisations, to provide robust and credible information for them to make good decisions for the economic and social development of regional Australia.
Our first Inland Research Fund project, 2019 Tourism Model identifies a significant need for increased tourism destination data for small regional centres. This project will offers increased levels of data and insights for small tourism operators in regional NSW to better target and attract tourists. WRI invested $30,000 of its own money into this activity to assist the regional areas who have less money to spend on research of this nature. This project is continuing in 2020.
