Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
Aims and objectives of ACCS are to promote and carry out charitable purposes that can be directed towards the persons in necessitous circumstances. ACCS mainly deals with the aged and frail people from the communities of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We provide ongoing information, seminars and training in health and well-being issues in accordance with identified need, to raise awareness and promote skills among the target communities. We provide ongoing information, resources and support to organisations in the wider community and our services sector, to enhance awareness and understanding about the target communities, their health and well being and the prevalence of deceases within the target communities. We have established and now maintain groups within the target communities to participate in ongoing activities for the enhancement of physical and mental well being. We identify, develop and implement information and education programs for volunteers and carers to equip them to deal with health and well being issues faced by members of the target communities.
