Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
Improved awareness of education of allergy and other immune diseases for health professionals, schools and childcare and the community by the provision of free educational resources. On-going communication to the allergy and immunology community through a monthly e-newsletter, Facebook and Twitter. Developed national guidelines for infant feeding and allergy prevention and updated action plans for anaphylaxis which are used nationally for people with anaphylaxis.ASCIA's national conference on allergy and immune disease brought international speakers to Australia and provided a national forum for discussion of current research and clinical practice.The Allergy and Immunology Foundation of Australasia grants funds for medical research to improve the health of people living with allergy and immune diseases. A range of fundraising activities are conducted to raise funds for AIFA.
