Description of charity's activities and outcomes
What we do Our mission is to support and educate eczema sufferers and carers, along with the wider community, in all aspects of eczema and its impact. We aim to improve the quality of care for sufferers of eczema through knowledge, education and support. The support we provide is life changing for many sufferers and their families. Heres just a few ways we help: SupportWe talk to eczema sufferers daily, offering a friendly voice who can help manage their own, or a loved ones skin condition. We are a non-judgemental support network available to discuss the difficulties and impacts of this debilitating condition. AwarenessEczema Awareness Week: The EAA and EANZ run Eczema Awareness Week each year in May. Eczema Awareness Week is an opportunity to raise awareness and discuss this skin condition that affects so many Australian and New Zealand lives. Knowledge The EAA is the only organisation of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and is the first stop for information on eczema in Australasia. We work with health providers to share our knowledge database to better serve sufferers and provide up-to-date information. Our aim is to raise awareness about the skin condition to improve and broaden the availability of medical treatments and supplies for eczema sufferers.
