Description of charity's activities and outcomes
We provided 26 Small Grants to community organisations to support vulnerable and marginalised communities in rural Australia.
The grants helped to build community cohesion, resilience and economic empowerment.

Changes planned
Highways and Byways Ltd is introducing a pilot program of community support activities in Roma, to be launched in March 2020, to address geographical disadvantage, social isolation and ongoing drought impact.
The program aims to build community leadership at a grass roots level to identify and offer opportunities and support to those most vulnerable. This will include 1. A life skills program for local young people with autism, social anxiety and isolation, and learning difficulties.
2. Working with the Indigenous Community to address areas of local concern.
3. Developing a Community garden – Working with community groups to involve local disadvantaged young people.
