Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
We provide funding for research into all aspects of diabetes in Western Australia through fundraising.
Two new research grants were awarded in this period being:
1. World first trial of continuous glucose monitoring to map early changes to blood glucose levels in children at risk of developing type 1 diabetes
2. Investigating a new therapeutic agent to reduce, prevent and treat inflammation in cells associated with diabetes complications, and
3. Extended research grant to progress treatments for the prevention of obesity and type 2 diabetes.
