Description of charity's activities and outcomes
The KSP Foundation Management Board ran affordable workshops, short courses, writing competitions, a residency and fellowship program, monthly author talks, library talks, 14 writing groups, weekly in-term classes for after-school students and home-schooled youth, school holiday programs, and two open days to encourage the craft of writing. Workshops and classes were on a variety of topics and addressed interests for all genders, age groups and writing levels. These events also enabled socialising opportunities for like-minded members of the public. KSP provided employment and volunteering opportunities, publishing opportunities, and offered free guided tours of the historic property. KSP also maintained the heritage-listed buildings and gardens, provided mentorships and a free book launch venue to six of its members, and through the monthly newsletter and social media channels provided information on world-wide competitions and publishing opportunities, as well as other local events.
