Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
SPELD NSW mission is to help children and adults with specific learning difficulties and those who help them such as teachers.In 2016 our Referral Officers were able to help 1250 parents/carers and adults with specific learning difficulties, through giving sound advice and providing either a tutor or a professional. This is a FREE service.For our Teachers we held:- Certificate course for Teachers of students with specific learning difficulties (6 weekend course)- Working memory & Behavioural Management workshop- Dyslexia workshop with Dr Nancy MatherSPELD NSW also ran 4 parent workshops.
