Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
Aims and Objectives of Australian Croatian Community Services is to promote and carry out charitable purposes that such charitable purposes can eb directed towards the persons in necessitous circumstance. ACCS deals mainly with the aged and frail people from the communities of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegivina. We provide ongoing information, seminars and training n healtha nd wellbeing issues in accordance with identified need to raise awareness and promote skills among the target communities. We provide ngoing information, resources and support to organisations in the wider community and the community services sector to enhance understanding and awareness about the target communities, their health and wellbeing and the prevalence of deseases within the target communities. We have establish and now maintain groups within the target communities to participate in ongoing activities for the enhancement of physical and mental wellbeing. We identify, develop and implement information and education programs for volunteers and carers to equip them to deal with health and wellbeing issues faced by members of the target communities.
