Did the charity operate in the 2016 reporting period?
Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
Ballarat Renewable Energy and Zero Emission (BREAZE) conducted three main activities to advanced our goals of promoting renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.i)Raised funds for the installation of a 30 kW solar PV array on the roof of Ballarat Regional Industries. The installation of this solar PV array will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by replacing approximately 40% of BRIs current consumption with green energy.ii)Conducted the Ballarat Farmers Market to promote local produce and reduce the food miles associated with food consumption. This included demonstration on how in season produce could be used to produce nutritious and enjoyable meals.iii)Run information sessions through Smart Living Ballarat to provide the Ballarat community with the knowledge they can use to minimise their energy consumption through lifestyle changes and modification to their homes and businesses.
