Description of charity’s activities and outcomes:
Throughout the year SAVEM carried out a program of activities including resource generation, volunteer personnel training, training with other emergency agencies, activation and activities after the Eden Valley, Rockleigh (x 2) and Crafers West bushfires in South Australia. SAVEM continued in its public outreach with numerous speaking engagements to community and Emergency Services groups. SAVEM took part in multi-agency training events to strengthen and improve Emergency response in South Australia, as well as running the annual SAVEM Exercise for volunteers pre bushfire season.
