Description of charity's activities and outcomes
CNLC is a community based not-for-profit organisation that works with the diverse communities of Carlton and surrounding suburbs to connect people, create opportunity, promote equity and challenge disadvantage.
The CNLC education and training programs assist migrants, refugees and others to develop reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills to support them to seek employment, access vocational training and progress their career goals.
The advocacy and community strengthening programs assist the broad range of marginalised adults to build individual confidence and competence, support their capacity to become employed, improve understanding of Australian social and workplace norms and improve intercultural knowledge and community connections.
