Description of charity's activities and outcomes
Muscular Dystrophy Queensland supports children, teenagers and adults living with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular conditions - people facing progressive loss of muscular strength and a future of increasing disability. We extend our services to include their care givers and their whole family unit. We provide help for today, through a range of services. We understand the challenges of living with neuromuscular disease and share information focused on improving health and wellbeing. We offer practical support through case management, refer our clients to existing community services and when a need cannot be addressed, we work with the community to find a solution. We support research with hope for tomorrow, to create successful treatments for the many neuromuscular conditions that exist and to find the elusive cure. In all we do, we remain focused on our vision that all Queenslanders living with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular conditions are able to experience life to their fullest potential.
