Description of charity's activities and outcomes
Provision of reproductive and sexual health information, prevention, screening and clinical services:30,986 clinical services3,543 STI test 90 professional education courses with 1,217 participants, including 501 doctors, 368 nurses and 103 disability workers and teachers.29% of clients under 25 years; 5% reported a disability: 537 clients ATSI background and 4,782 clients born overseas. Innovative health promotion programs and resources aimed at those vulnerable and/or socially disadvantaged including:Body Talk website which provides information on puberty, relationships, contraception and STIs, as well as referral pathways to clinical services.Infographics: a new way of promoting health messages to clients and communities. It can accurately display a large amount of data through social media.Live Nation Project: an initiative aimed at promoting sexual health among young people through online health promotions on music festival websites, as well as selected concerts and music events.Sexually Transmissible Infection Kit and Sexually Transmissible Infection Guide: to provide teachers with easy-to-use educational tools to use in classroom discussions, and to assist young people in making informed decisions about their reproductive and sexual health.Condom Credit Card, a youth specific scheme aimed at early intervention and capacity building. Outing Disability photography exhibition taking viewers on a journey into the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people with disability.Capacity building lesbian, gay, transgender intersex young people including implementing the Safe School Coalition program in NSW addressing homophobia, transphobia and heterosexism, and providing a safe and supportive school environmentCommunity education sessions for parents and carers of people with intellectual disabilityInternational projects: Family planning projects in Fiji, PNG and Vanuatu: 4,991 direct beneficiaries Disability project in Fiji: 274 direct beneficiariesCervical cancer prevention and treatment projects in Solomon Islands and Vanuatu: 2,394 direct beneficiariesWomens empowerment and gender equality projects in Timor Lester and PNG: 11,357 direct beneficiaries.
