Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
The Australian River Restoration Centre works to promote, support people wanting to look after our rivers, streams and wetlands. Over the past year we have produced a new magazine called RipRap - Habitat makes Fish Happen which is freely available to download, we have also issued free monthly email newsletters packed full of stories and resources for people working in river restoration. In addition, we run projects through our Rivers of Carbon initiative that work with local Landcare groups to protect and restore their rivers and streams. These projects include field days, workshops and conferences for people to gain more information and to share their stories about rivers and wetlands. We also run the Finterest website to share information about freshwater fish. You can view all these activities on our websites www.arrc.com.au / www.riversofcarbon.org.au / www.finterest.com.au.
