Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
The maintenance of a library containing numerous technical magazines, books, manuals and text books relating to a wide variety of vintage automobiles, outboard motors, and the maintenance, repair and history of same. This library is open to members of the public by appointment, and is also used by other automotive repairers, seeking assistance and guidance on repair techniques for various vehicles.The Trust also exhibits the motor vehicles and outboard motors owned by it to members of the public, once again by appointment.The library and the exhibition of cars demonstrate to the public and for the benefit of the public, and for the benefit of car enthusiasts, and vintage car restorers, the progression of mechanical development of motor vehicles and outboard motors from the 1920s to date.The library and the workshop also allows research to be undertaken in relation to the original features of various vehicles, the methods of restoration, appropriate restoration techniques, all of which would be relevant to both current and historical model vehicles.The motor vehicles are regularly exhibited to the public at exhibits such as Moto Classica, which often attracts approximately 16,000 attendees. The vehicles were also exhibited at functions of the various car clubs, and, as and when required, at various Municipal and Service Club functions, for the purposes of assisting the Councils and Service Clubs in raising funds for appropriate charitable causes.
