Description of charity's activities and outcomes: 
Our overall purpose is to promote the understanding of Australian History, in particular N.S.W community and local history. We also provide insurance and skill-building services that enable 390 historical groups to research, write and promote their histories. Our main activities in 2017 included: hosting workshops and lectures; producing publications and online materials; providing library and research services; administering a public liability and volunteer insurance scheme; offering assistance to individuals and groups embarking on historical research projects and administering small grants programs for a number of government agencies.
