Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
The school presentations raised awareness of the existence of thalassaemia and sickle cell anaemia, amongst school aged children, as well as the impact of these conditions. The importance of giving blood was also highlighted. Attending medical conferences allowed us to touch base with haematologists to gather information as to how best to support them in their care of thalassaemia and sickle cell patients.
