Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
A is for Atlas makes contemporary performance.Our work traverses multi-form practice collaborations, community development practice,collaborative cross-cultural practice and collaborations between arts and non-arts disciplines. A is for Atlas creates compelling original performance works and presents these in extraordinary professional settings to diverse audiences (two new works created in 2013-14, as well as remounts locally and interstate of another work). We are committed to engaging communities through our creative processes. We run a program of support for other independent artists through mentoring and other strategic partnership (three young artists and three independent collectives this year). We engage deeply in our sector, regularly attention state, national and international industry fora. We seek funding from government, philanthropic and private sector sources to support our work.
