Mummy's Wish supports Australian families with children aged 12 years and under through the provision of practical, immediate and non-means tested support whilst Mum is receiving treatment for cancer. We know that every familys situation is different and tailor our support for each family to ensure that these young families can keep functioning during Mums battle with cancer. The work that we do allows Mums undergoing treatment to cope with their illness and meet the physical and emotional needs of a young family. We connect with the Mums on diagnosis and are there to offer support during her full treatment journey. Each Mum receives a Mummy's Wish Support Pack in the mail that contains a Compendium (to store important documents and keep notes), relevant information and resources including our 'Guide for Mums with Cancer', a few treats for Mum and a voice-recordable Comfort Bear for children under 12 years. Some of the ways we have helped families include:* a friendly chat with someone who knows what is going onresources and tips on how to tell your kids you are unwell* housecleaning and housekeeping* arranging delivery of nutritious family meals during treatment* hospital car parking vouchers* financial assistance (via the Financial Assistance Program)* referrals to other support agencies best suited to the family's needs* memory making tips for terminal Mums
