Health Promotion Officers delivered programs that address the social determinants of health. This
being the social, economic and environmental impacts on a community. Healthy Cities Illawarra
works across four Local Government areas which are Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and the
Shoalhaven. Some of these LGA's have been identified with above state average statistics in
many health categories.
