Description of the charities activities and outcomes
SCIA has been run by and for people with SCI and other neurological conditions for 53 years. We were founded by people with SCI. People with disability make up 26% our staff and the majority of the people on our Board. We are a member based organisation with more than 2300 members and clients. The principal activity of SCIA is to provide a range of services designed to maximise personal independence for all members and clients. Our organisational purpose is to create a world where people with spinal and neuro conditions and their loved ones thrive. To deliver on our purpose, our three year strategy launched in late 2019 is focused on "delivering a better today" and "building a better tomorrow".
