Description of Services/Activities
Engage Indigenous person(s) or community elder(s) (usually referred to by Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet (PM&C) or Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) or Indigenous Chambers of Commerce to assess whether they have any capability(ies) that can translate into a business
Work with the relevant Indigenous person(s) or community elder(s) to address gaps that are preventing them from establishing a business. This includes preparing a business case and plan to source funding through grants or commercial financial institutions. This includes grant/ financial facility application support.
Help set-up the governance structure of Indigenous start-ups and train/mentor shareholders and directors in basic corporate governance skills required to keep the company secretarial books of the company up to date.
Perform or assist in business development and marketing of start-up company and secure customer contracts either directly or through ServeGate Australia’s customer relationships (eg Government Panels)
Train & mentor administration staff of start-up on the administrative & financial management processes of running companies.
Train and mentor operational staff to deliver services on time, on budget & on specification by providing Project Management services.
