Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
During 2015/16, RCOA continued its work of research, representation and community education on refugee issues; coordinating national networks and consultation processes on different aspects of national and international refugee policy. We produced briefings media releases, research reports and submissions on key issues. We delivered presentations to a wide range of groups and coordinated Australia's celebrations for Refugee Week. RCOA represented the views of its member organisations and refugee communities in a wide variety of forums with government agencies and at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and worked closely with international networks of non-government organisations.
