Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
We accept donations of computers and computer equipment, from companies, organisations and individuals, for the primary purpose of providing quality, refurbished-computers to people with limited income, so that they can participate better in society, seek work, improve their knowledge and so on. Donations are separated into salvageable and un-salvageable. Un-salvageable donations are disassembled into their core components so that they could be recycled. All salvageable computers that meet our requirements are serviced, bundled with community-licensed software, and sold at a discount to concession card holding members of the public. A range of these computers are also made available to asylum seekers at no cost. Computers and computer equipment that do not meet our requirements that are salvageable are sold online to help pay our running costs.
In the financial year 2018-2019, Computerbank's 20th year of service, we delivered 428 computers to our customers.
