Description of the charities activities and outcomes:
Mission: To enrich the community and the environment by fostering, promoting and
supporting the development and activities of the Melton Botanic Garden.
Developing and maintaining the botanic garden through a number of garden work
teams and special days. New garden beds have been added. Engaged school and
community groups in garden activities. Promoted the garden at many external events,
MBG Open Days, guided tours, talks to groups and social media. Raised funds
through plant sales, donations, raffles, trivia night, sausage sizzles and grants. We are
all volunteers, there are no paid staff in the Friends.
