Description of charity's activities and outcomes
We currently assist six of the most disadvantaged families from Taksenkangbloung village(population 350) in Cambodia in our core program. We have already assisted in excess of 30families through basic sanitation and first aid training, provision of clothing and food supplies, andEnglish classes. The aim is to create a sense of community and a community hub which has sofar been a success with up to 80 people attending English classes every day. We educatemembers of the village about the importance of sanitation and nutrition. We also provide a firstaid kit and have trained members of the community in how to apply basic first aid. We facilitatedisadvantaged children attending the local primary school by providing food, clothing, transport,basic health care and out of hours supplementary tuition. We welcome and encourage allmembers of the community to use our centre. Children of all ages can come and play with toys,games and sporting equipment. Children and adults not included in the core program areprovided with free English lessons on a daily basis. We currently employ five staff member fromthe local area.
