Description of charity's activities and outcomes
The core of what Care Outreach does is the Face to Face visitation to rural and remote families by our trained volunteers. The physical and emotional support given to these families by our volunteers is invaluable. The goods donations of hampers, toiletries, clothing, manchester, knitted winter items all come through the generosity of donors throughout the wider community. The processing of these donations at our warehouse on the Sunshine Coast has them sorted and ready for volunteer teams to access and for us to transport into the regions for the volunteers to distribute direct to the family as they visit. The words of appreciation that come from our families and communities via cards, emails and phone calls give us a measure of the impact that Care Outreach via the volunteers are making right throughout the regions of our work.
